YOUTH
New Life Students is a youth group for students in grades 6 through 12 at New Life Church in Wayland, Michigan. We want to help students build a faith in Jesus that becomes deeply their own. Everything we do is designed to surround them with meaningful relationships, trusted leaders, and a community where they can ask honest questions, discover who God made them to be, and learn to join Jesus in His mission right where they are.

We want students to know Jesus for themselves, not simply inherit someone else’s faith. Through honest questions, biblical teaching, and space to wrestle with what they believe, we’re helping students build a faith that can carry them far beyond these years.

Following Jesus happens best with people who know you and walk with you. Students find a place to belong, build real friendships, and connect with trusted leaders who show up, listen well, and point them toward Jesus.

MORE THAN SUNDAYS
Student ministry isn’t just another night on the calendar. We want students to discover who God is shaping them to become and learn to follow Jesus in their schools, friendships, families, and everyday lives. Their faith has a purpose, and they don’t have to wait until adulthood to live it.

Some of the most meaningful relationships in a student’s life can begin with an adult who simply shows up consistently and cares. You don’t have to be a Bible expert or a professional teacher to make a difference. (All Volunteers in Student Ministry pass an annual background check to ensure the highest standards of safety for both students and volunteers).
